Tickle Mom Pink with Buttermere’s Secret Garden Cakes

This Mother’s Day, Buttermere Patisserie is inviting moms and families to take their taste buds on a secret garden adventure by dedicating three flower-themed Mother’s Day cakes for the occasion: Strawberry Blossom, Berry Elegant, and Floral Sparkle. Inspired by a light colour palette representative of the traits and strengths of the motherly figure, these cakes are designed with pastels and creams of pink, purple, blue, and yellow. 

The Strawberry Blossom is a 7-inch graham cookie-based classic cheesecake with fresh strawberry jelly, strawberry cheese mousse, strawberry panna cotta, buttercream flowers, and coral tuile. Naturally coloured due to the use of strawberries, this creamy pink symbolizes tenderness, compassion, and a nurturing nature – all traits of a loving and caring parent. 

Catered towards berry lovers is the 6-inch Berry Elegant cake which is an Earl Grey pecan madeleine paired with London Fog cremeux, fresh blueberry jelly, blueberry mousse, and adorned with berries and edible flowers. Presented in a soft purple and blue hue, the Berry Elegant is indicative of a mother’s wisdom, sensitivity, and trustworthiness.

For a lighter tasting cake, Buttermere is offering the Floral Sparkle, a citrusy 6-inch cake made with a cassis sponge, Bottega sparkling wine and elderflower mousse, elderflower jelly, yogurt crunch, vanilla ganache, citrus cremeux, and edible flowers. Light yellow is a means of optimism and uplift; moms are often the greatest cheerleaders who provide unconditional support and encouragement.
