Buttermere' s Larger-than-life Easter Egg Treats Make a Bold Return

Due to popular demand, Buttermere Patisserie is bringing back their larger-than-life Easter egg treats this year and just as the year before, these 7-inch tall egg-shaped chocolate treats are not only fun to dig into, but also a vibrant and aesthetic showpiece.

Presented in four strong hues, Jamie explains her choice in colour: "A message I want to share along with this year's Easter collection is to live life boldly," says Jamie Tung, owner and pastry chef at Buttermere Patisserie. "What we've learned from the past couple years is that we cannot control what happens out in the world, but what we can control is how we react and act within our day-to-day. There is no time to spend on uncertainty, so if we go about our days with intention, we can focus our passion and energy on the things we can control and live our best lives... because every moment is truly a gift."

By using colours named after gemstones, she further emphasizes the preciousness and magnificence of living life courageously in your own terms. Each colour represents a different type of chocolate used for the shell ranging from white chocolate to dark chocolate: the Yellow Topaz egg is an Ivoire 35% white chocolate shell, Turquoise is a Zéphyr™ caramel chocolate, Green Sphene an Alunga™ 41% milk chocolate, and  Purple Amethyst is a Fleur de Cao 71% dark chocolate shell.

The egg-shaped chocolate shells are filled with assorted in-house crafted dragées, sweet bites of nuts and freeze-dried fruits coated with chocolate or sweet confections, including Zephyr caramel hazelnut, Fleur de Cao 71% chocolate almond, blueberry banana, cherry pineapple, cranberry strawberry, and cashew chocolate cookies.

Each packaged egg comes with a miniature hammer and can be pre-ordered on Buttermere Patisserie's website
